Brine

So, I was tutoring someone in differential equations today. The problem involved brine. I was explaining to my student that brine was just a fancy word for salt water (it is. seriously). Anyways, sometimes I start talking about something before the student has had a chance to read the question. So, I stopped and let him read the question. And he stops and says (surprisedly) “OH! You’re serious!? That’s awesome!” “Yeah….why didn’t you think I was?” (I was confused as to why he was so into this) “Cause that’s my name! Brian! They sound alike! That’s so cool”

And that was the funniest thing that happened all day.
